Ongoing discussions amongst members highlighting alignment with the Simon Mouter Israeli delegation report and initiatives.
Victoria, Paul Matthews and Paul Ramsay continue to represent NZRise members as members of the Digital Economy, Digital Skills Forum a cross industry, cross agency initiative focusing on Education, Vocational Pathways, Immigration, Evidence and Data. The forum has recently added specific programme areas focusing on Diversity and Cyber Security. Victoria is the chair of this forum.

ICT Marketplace
DIA have agreed to present to a Christchurch audience on the Marketplace programme. The NZRise board are looking at options for alignment with or an alternative to showcase NZ Owned IT Services and Products – the exclusion of services from the DIA Marketplace is a concern for many organisations.

A strong area of interest for members promoting discussion on how we gain exposure to NZ D5 events, agreements, outcomes and commitments.

Economic Development Agency Engagement
Positive engagement with ATEED is ongoing including support for their intention to further support the expansion of Advanced Industries. Initial discussions with WREDA on support for Growth companies within the Wellington Region. Victoria attended the Canterbury Tech Summit and was impressed with the support from CDC of their local growing sector.

Trade Agreements
Ongoing discussions with MFAT on the Trade in Services Agreement has been augmented with regional briefing events. We continue to seek a guide for businesses on the opportunities and obligations of Trade Agreements.

Position Statements
The NZRise board’s focus over the coming months will be to present draft position statements for members to support or augment. This will start with a position on our support of Diversity within the Digital and Technology sector.
