In early 2018 the New Zealand Digital Skills Forum published Digital Skills For A Digital Nation, a comprehensive report containing insight developed through research and survey data translated into actionable findings. The outcomes of the report served as input to a range of government and industry initiatives.

This report is in the process of being refreshed by MBIE as part of the development of an Industry Transformation Plan for the Digital Technology sector. An important element of this refresh is insight from employers of Digital Technology workers. Understanding the topology of the Digital Technology workforce today, the diversity of our industry, identifying current gaps and skill shortages and forecasting future needs will be invaluable to the work MBIE is currently undertaking.

Please take the time to complete this survey – it will help ensure policy settings for education, immigration, vocational training, employer support etc align with employer needs.

You can take the survey by following this link.
