The G2G business unit in NZTE supports the export of GovTech solutions to other governments, by bringing together experts from both the public and private sectors to deliver solutions overseas, with a specific focus on Asian and Middle East markets.
In July, a delegation from Saudi Arabia, led by the Dr. Abdullatif Alandullatif, head of the Digital Transfomation Unit at their Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, visited NZ to understand how we had achieved our leadership position in a number of global digital indicators. The delegation was particularly interested in understanding how the GovTech sector had developed in NZ, partnership between government and the private sector and the value of a healthy ecosystem of local ICT firms.
Most of the interactions were with government agencies including GCDO/DIA, MBIE, Callaghan Innovation, NZVIF and StatsNZ. We arranged for three NZRise members (OptimalBI, Ackama, and InfocentriK) to present on how they work with government agencies. The visitors appreciated the presentations which were followed by a lively and interesting Q&A session.
